Finding a good restaurant can be hard, especially when you're budgeting, that's why I've gathered a list of the best restaurants around the Chicagoland area that won't break the bank but provide some good times. Fair warning- I may be a little bias on some of these but that doesn't mean they're not amazing. Cheers to good prices and fun times!

This fresh and exciting sports bar in Western Springs is located right by their train station which makes it the perfect place to stop for an after-work drink with friends, family, or just yourself if you're living around the western suburbs. Every month they have a new feature beer on tap for $4 and a deal every Thursday where all beers on tap (excluding their beer of the month) is 50% off. They also have weekly specials for food which include deals like Thursday's $5 6-piece wings that come in 3 amazing flavors (the honey sriracha is my favorite) and Tuesday's Taco and Taps which offer up beef or chicken tacos for less than $3 for each one and $4 choice taps. With 16 flat screens all over the place and a laid-back atmosphere this bar is the perfect place to re-charge after a long day at the office -and catch all the sports games you could imagine while enjoying your food and drink.
Lincoln Park's Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba is your place for authentic tapas and dangerously delicious sangria's. Their happy hour menu is available daily from 4pm to 6pm in their bar area, making it a perfect place to stop along your commute home from work in the city (depending on where you are). Its always pretty crowded, making it perfect for a social gatherings where you want to be a part of the hustle and bustle of city life and offers up some pretty great happy hour deals like their $1 pinto's (bite sized tapas that are popular in part of Northern Spain) and a classic red sangria pitcher for $16 that's perfect to split -or drink yourself if you so please.
This rustic Italian style restaurant serves up delectable food that is both fairly priced and additive. With deals like 50% off select bottles of wine every Wednesday and offering two different locations-one in Taylor Street, Chicago and the other in the suburb of Western Springs, it makes it an easy commute no matter where you're coming from in the area. The focaccia with honey comb is to die for and even my friends argue they still have dreams about it long after their visit. It offers up a fancy but laid-back kind of atmosphere making it perfect for a group dinner or a date. To top it all off they offer a massively impressive Bloody Mary bar every Saturday and Sunday brunch where you can create your very own perfect Bloody Mary- I'm convinced its the one thing that can cure any hangover.
Located at 70 W. Madison St. in Chicago, this place is a hidden gem with some great deals. Its situated right above the Washington Blue Line stop in the Chicago Pedway, allowing you to stay indoors during rough and tough weather, making it a great place for some liquid warmth before that commute home. They offer a great happy hour Monday through Friday from 3-7pm giving you plenty of time to sit and lounge with a decently priced drink and meal. My favorites include their 2 for $12 buffalo chicken sliders and the $8 beer and a shot deal which helps me forget my work troubles fairly quickly. Stop in the next time you miss your blue line train for more great deals like $10 cocktail drinks or their famous $10 dirty fries.
1801 W Division St. is home to Mac's Wood Grilled which is known for their naturally raised local meats and fun atmosphere. Deals include $5 Moscow mules, $4 bottled beers and so much more. Every Tuesday night starting around 9pm they have an open mic where people can show off their stand-up or sketch comedy while enjoying more great drink deals. Their trivia night on Wednesday which starts at 8pm has $12 domestic pitcher deals along with other money saving opportunities like their apps which are priced and sized perfectly for splitting and sharing with friends. No matter the occasion for coming in for a drink, you can be sure that this is a fun, welcoming place to put a beer back.
With the concept of supplying their guests with unlimited engagement and an innovative cocktail and martini list, Kit Kat Lounge is a perfect destination for anyone, of any age, or any preference. Their decor is really cute and perfect for snapping a fierce instagram while sipping on some fancy, well-priced drinks. Their happy hour is Tuesday through Friday from 5:30 to 7pm and Sunday 4-7pm, offering up half off small plates and $4.95 martinis! They also have an array of daily specials like their $32 Price Fixe Menu on Friday while includes a salad, entree, and martini bundled together. They also have a nightly show for your entertainment that runs every 20 minutes on Fridays and Saturdays with performers and diva's going around and dancing for fun. It's really a fun experience if you're looking to cut loose after a long week of work.
If these don't tickle your fancy you can always check out places like Trip Advisor for more suggestions but I figured these six, very delicious, very different restaurants would be a good start for those looking for a new place that has amazing food, great atmosphere, and unreal deals every week! Maybe you'll see me around the next time you stop in one of these places for a drink, if that's the case, pull up a chair and cheers with me to saving some money while enjoying your time out.
